We want to collect ideas for NPCs on this page. The NPCs do not necessarily have to be part of a quest or having a shop. Some NPCs might just be useful to make the world more lively. The NPCs on this page should be ordered by the place where they are living.

The page is split into sections for each region in Stendhal. Please add new NPCs into the right section.

Each NPC should be structured as followed:

  • name
  • place - whereabout in the given region should the NPC be
  • path - describe a rough path this NPC could follow in his zone
  • dialogue - describe the replies of the NPC when interacting with players
    • greeting
    • bye
    • offer
    • help
    • job
    • add other keywords if you want to add more replies on special topics

Ados

One more point to the path and behave of the NPCs. We should add more houses that are locked, but the NPC can enter them (by teleporting) and walk out later to go another way or the way back. Ados need more houses anyway. -Laguz-

Path
(14,25) is the place for the NPC if there cannot be a good path for him. If a stop and turn function is possible, this path can be used: (14,25) to (15,25). Look down and stay there for about 5 seconds. Then to (12,25), look down and stay for some seconds. Then to (16,25) to (16,24). Stay for 3 seconds. To (16,25) to (15,25). Look down and stay. To (12,25), look down and stay. To (17,25) to (17,24). Stay for 3 seconds. To (17,25)to (13,25), stay. Turn right, stay. And again to (14,25), look down and stay.
Dialogue
  • greeting: Hey! What about a nice big fat steak?
  • bye: A nice day to you! Always keep your fire burning!
  • offer: I can grill you a nice steak.
  • steak: Do you want a well-done steak or a medium one?
  • medium: To grill a medium steak I need one piece of meat and 50 money. Can you bring me these things?
  • -> yes: Alright, come back in about 5 minutes.
  • well-done: To grill a well-done steak I need one piece of meat and 60 money. Can you bring me these things?
  • -> yes: Okay, come back in about 7 minutes to get your steak.
  • help: If you want to have a steak you are right here. Otherwise just have a look around at the market.
  • job: I am the BBQ man here. I'll grill a tasty steak for you if you like to have one.
  • task/quest: I have no task for you, but if you like to have a steak you have to bring me a piece of meat and some money.
