Stendhal is a work in progress and we need help now!
The Main Tasks are:
GFX
We need new GFX (graphics) for the game which must be not be copyright material. There are two different sets of GFX: animated objects and static objects.
Animated objects
For the animated objects we will use RPGMaker 2000 like charasets, in which an animated object is an image with all the animations in rows and all the independent frames in columns.

The size of the sprite can change and there is no standard sprite size.
Each type of object has a different animation set.
We mainly need the following set of sprites:
- Player(s) - several modifications of the same sprite.
- Move ( UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT )
- Attack
- Being hit
- Dead
- Chat
- Sheep
- Move ( UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT )
- Eat food
- Being hit
- Dead
- Wolf
- Move ( UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT )
- Attack
- Being hit
- Dead
- Chat - Howling.
- NPC Seller and Buyer
- Move ( UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT )
- Chat
Tiles
We also need some tiles for the game:
- Tree(s)
- House(s)
- Fence
- Land tile
- Grass tile
- Bush
- Bush with fruits - aka food
We need each tile in a different image file.
They can be of any size BUT they MUST BE divisible by 32. That is: 32, 64, 96, ...
That should be enough to fulfill the requirements of the Stendhal 0.10 release.
SFX
Sound effects
We will need several sound effects (SFX) for stendhal. We need 1 sound for each action of each entity. Sounds should loop correctly and should be recorded in MP3 format.
We do need SFX for:
- Player
- Move sound ( Walk )
- Attack sound
- Being hit sound
- Dead sound
- Sheep
- Move sound ( Walk )
- Being hit sound
- Eat sound
- Dead sound
- Chat sound ( Beeeee! )
- Wolf
- Move sound ( Walk )
- Attack sound
- Being hit sound
- Dead sound
- Chat sound ( Auuuuuuu! )
Music
Sorry, we don't need music for now.
Plot
Take a look at [Design] to discuss the plot with us. We are open to discussion on all aspects of the game concept.
