Stendhal Quests

A quest ... is generally a task or series of tasks, which a player or group of players may complete in order to gain a reward. Rewards may include experience points, loot, spells, in-game currency, faction hits, or any combination of the above.

This page shows quests that already exist in Stendhal. Find out what stage you are at any quest by checking your quest log, since Stendhal 0.91.

Steps

Ask Phalk about a task
Bring him 3 sandwiches, 3 bottles of beer and 3 glasses of wine
Afterwards, bring him Wrivil's cloak and Mrotho's armor.

Reward: 600 XP after Step 2; 4000 XP after Step 3

Kill Enemy Army

Participants: Despot Halb Errvl

Steps

The despot asks you to kill some enemy forces
Kill them and go back to Halb Errvl to get your reward

Steps

Zekiel the guardian asks you to bring him 6 beeswax and 2 <item "iron" not found> to make magic candles with
Bring the items to Zekiel
You can start the practical test

Zekiel informs you about the test and wizards
You will be send to 6 levels now at which you have to choose the right creature
If you made the right choices, you'll be able to reach the spire everytime you want

Koboldish Torcibud

Participants: Wrviliza, the kobold barmaid in Wo'fol

Steps

Wrviliza needs some stuff to prepare her famous Koboldish Torcibud
She wants you to replenish her stock of supplies and therefore needs random amounts of the following items:
- arandula
- artichoke
- eared bottle
- fierywater
- kekik
- mandragora
- sclaria
- slim bottle

Reward: random number of vsop koboldish torcibud; 500 XP; 20 Karma

Note: This quest can be repeated every 3 to 6 days

Obsidian Knife

Participants: Alrak, a dwarf who abandoned the mountain dwarves to live in Kobold City; Ceryl, the librarian in Semos

Steps

Alrak is hungry and asks for 100 pieces of ham, cheese or meat
Then, Alrak is bored and asks for a book
Get the book from Ceryl, and remember the name of who it is for
Bring the book to Alrak - he reads it for 3 days
After 3 days Alrak has learned how to make a knife from obsidian
Provided you have high enough level, you can continue
Get obsidian for the blade, you must kill a black dragon
Get a fish for the fish bone handle
Alrak makes the knife for you

Reward: obsidian knife; 11500 XP

Help Mrs. Yeti

Participants: Mrs. Yeti, who lives under the ice of 0 semos mountain n w4; Salva Mattori, a healer in Magic City; Hackim Easso, the blacksmith assistent in Semos

Steps

Mrs. Yeti needs a love potion from a witch in Magic City
Visit the witch Salva Mattori who will inform you of ingredients which she needs to make the love potion
Go to Hackim Easso in Semos for getting a magic knife from him
After that, bring Hackimg Easso 5 pies
Carry the knife, 3 lilias, a kokuda, a glass of wine and a black pearl to Salva Mattori
Then, give the love potion to Mrs. Yeti
Mr. Yeti wants to have a baby dragon
You rescued the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Yeti, grab your award by Mrs. Yeti

Reward: getting the offer to buy cheap roach from her; 1,000 XP; some karma

Snowballs

Participants: Mr. Yeti, who lives under the ice of 0 semos mountain n w4

Steps

Mr. Yeti asks for some snow, and wants you to get 25 snowballs.
You collect 25 snowballs from ice golems.
You give the snowballs to Mr. Yeti.

Reward: 20 cod or perch; 50 XP; Karma: 20

Find Thonatus and ask him for a challenge

Kill all 10 creatures
Claim your victory

Reward: Trophy Helmet which def increases by 1 for every Death Match completed (See DM in FAQ)

Note: Deathmatch is available for players above lvl 20; You can repeat it as often you want; Your friends can use the scrying orbs around the arena to watch!

Coal For Haunchy

Participants: Haunchy Meatoch, the BBQ grillmaster

Steps: Visit Haunchy Meatoch on the Ados market; Ask him for a quest; Search for some coal in the Semos Mines; Bring Haunchy Meatoch some coal for his grill

Reward: 200 XP; Karma; a random amount of grilled steaks

Note: You need a pick from Barbarus for picking some coal; can be repeated each 2 days

Daily Item Quest

Participants: Mayor Chalmers

Steps

talk to Mayor to get a quest to fetch a named item
go get the item
bring the item to the Mayor

Reward: XP depending on Level (12.5% of xp between your level now and next level); Karma

Note: Can be repeated once a day; If after 7 days you still can't find the item you have the option to start another quest

Dragon Lair

Participants: Wishman, storm trooper extraordinaire from Blordrough's dark legion, guards the remaining dragons

Ask Wishman for a Task
Kill the dragons in the lair.

Reward: XP from the dragons

Emotion Crystals

Participants: Julius, the Soldier who guards the entrance to Ados City; blue crystal, pink crystal, purple crystal, red crystal and yellow crystal

Solve the crystals' riddles to get the emotion crystals
Bring the emotion crystals to Julius

Reward: 2000 XP; stone legs; 25 karma

Look Up Quote

("Famous Fishermen")

Participants: Pequod, one of the fishermen in Ados

Steps

Look up the quote from the famous fisherman Pequod asks you about
Tell it to Pequod

Reward: 750 XP; some karam (available after 1.12); fishing rod

Find Ghosts

Participants: Carena, the ghost haunting ados haunted house

Steps

Carena asks you to find the 4 other spirits on Faiumoni
You go find them and remember their names
You return and say the names
Carena checks you have met them, then gives reward

Reward: base HP bonus of 50; 5000 XP; Karma: 15

Note: You can meet the ghosts before you started the quest with her

Fish Soup

Participants: Florence Boullabaisse

Steps: Visit Florence Boullabaisse on the Ados market; Ask her after her tasty fish soups; Bring her the items which she needs to prepare some for you

Reward: some XP; a tasty fish soup

Note: can be repeated every 20 minutes

Fishermans License Quiz

Participants: Santiago, one of the fishermen in Ados

Steps

Name all the fish Santiago shows you

Reward: 500 XP; some karma; Likelihood of catching fish increased

Fishermans License part 2

Participants: Santiago, one of the fishermen in Ados

Steps

Complete part 1 of the exam
Take one fish of each species to to Santiago

Reward: 2,000 XP; some karma; Likelihood of catching fish increased again

Fruits for Coralia

Participants: Coralia, barmaid in Ados tavern.

Steps

Coralia needs new fruits for her hat
Collect the ones she needs

Reward: 300 XP; 1-5 crepes suzette; 2-8 minor potion; 5 Karma

Notes: You can repeat the quest after 7 days, fruits are withered then.

Kill Monks

Participants: Andy who walks on Ados cemetery

Steps: Visit Andy on Ados cemetery and ask for a task; He lost his wife earlier and seeks revenge trying to help him; Kill 25 monks and 25 darkmonks for him; Return and get your award

Reward: 15000 XP; a random amount of soup (between 1 and 5); Karma

Note: can be repeated all two weeks

Meet Marie-Henri

Participants: Marie-Henri, a famous french writer who is testing your general knowledge.

Steps: Visit Marie-Henri in Ados library and ask for a task.; Try to find out the pseudonym he uses when writing his novels.; If you know it, answer his question correctly and get your reward.

Reward: 200 XP; an empty scroll; Karma

Mithril Cloak

Participants: Ida, a seamstress in Ados.; Imperial scientists, in kalavan basement; Mithrilbourgh Wizards, in kirdneh and magic city; Hogart, a retired master dwarf smith, forgotten below the dwarf mines in Orril.; Terry, the dragon hatcher in semos caves.; Ritati Dragontracker, odds and ends buyer in ados abandoned keep; Pdiddi, the dodgy dealer from Semos; Josephine, young woman from Fado; Pedinghaus, the mithril casting wizard in Ados

Steps

Ida needs sewing machine fixed, with one of three items from a list
Once machine fixed and if you have done mithril shield quest, Ida offers you cloak
Kampusch tells you to how to make the fabric
Imperial scientists take silk glands and make silk thread
Kampusch fuses mithril nuggets into the silk thread
Whiggins weaves mithril thread into mithril fabric
Ida takes fabric then asks for magical scissors
Hogart makes the scissors which need magical eggshells
Terry swaps eggshells for disease poison
Ida takes the scissors then asks for a magical needle
Needles come from Ritati Dragontracker
Ida breaks a random number of needles, meaning you need to get more each time
Ida pricks her finger on the last needle and goes to twilight zone
Pdiddi sells the twilight moss to get to twilight zone
The twilight slime in the twilight zone drops the twilight elixir to heal lda
After being ill Ida asks you to take a blue striped cloak to Josephine
After taking cloak to Josephine and telling Ida it is done, she asks for a mithril clasp
Pedinghaus makes mithril clasp
The clasp completes the cloak

Reward: Mithril Cloak; XP; Karma

The Pied Piper

Participants: Mayor Chalmers

Steps: Mayor will activate the quest by telling to all about Ados city rats problem.; Kill (all) rats in city and go back to mayor for your reward.

Reward: XP from killed rats; moneys from Mayor Chalmers; 5 karma in total

Note: can be repeated every from one to two weeks.

Toys Collector

Participants: Anna, one of the children in Ados Park

Steps

Collect some toys you think Anna would like
Take toys to Anna until she is happy and has enough

Reward: 100 XP; 3 pies

Ados Abandoned Keep

Participiants: Bobby, a young boy who stares into the sky in Fado.

Steps

Win a balloon during the Semos Mine Town Revival weeks
Bring it to Bobby and he will be a happy boy!

Notes: You can repeat the quest just during the Mine Town Revival weeks where you can get the balloons from.; Even if you gave a balloon away during that time, you can get a new one back

Cloaks Collector

Participants: Josephine, a young woman who lives in Fado

Steps

Josephine asks you to bring her a cloak in every colour she likes
You bring cloaks to Josephine
Repeat until Josephine received all cloaks. (Of course you can bring several cloaks at the same time.)
Josephine gives you a reward

Reward: 2500 XP; some karma; a cloak Josephine doesn't like the colour of

Cloak Collector 2

Participants: Josephine, a young woman who lives in Fado

Steps

Josephine asks you to bring her a cloak in every colour she likes that she didn't get already
You bring cloaks to Josephine
Repeat until Josephine received all cloaks. (Of course you can bring several cloaks at the same time.)
Josephine gives you a reward

Learn About Karma

Participants: Sarzina, the friendly wizardess who also sells potions in Fado

Steps

Sarzina asks if you are a helpful person
You get good or bad karma depending on what you say
You get the chance to learn about karma and find out what yours is

Reward: Karma Bonus; Knowledge

Note: Can always go back to learn about karma, but not get the bonus each time; Karma

Marriage

Participants: Sister Benedicta, the nun of Fado Church; Ognir, the Ring Maker in Fado; Timothy and Tamara at the dressing rooms; the Priest of Fado Church; Linda, Fado hotel receptionist; the happy couple

Steps

The nun explains that when two people are married, they can be together whenever they want
When two players wish to become engaged, they tell the nun (both must stand together and near the nun)
If the groom likes he can buy a diamond engagement ring for his fiancee (not needed at all for quest though)
The nun gives them invitation scrolls for the wedding, marked with the church
The players get a wedding ring made to give the other at the wedding by going to Ognir
Ognir hints that they can get dressed into an outfit in the hotel
When an engaged player goes to the priest, he knows they are there to be married and checks they have the rings
The marriage rites are performed
The rings and engraved with the partner's name
When they go to the Hotel they choose a lovers room from a catalogue
They leave the lovers room when desired with another marked scroll

Reward: 1500 XP in total; Wedding Ring that teleports you to your spouse if worn; Nice things in the lovers rooms

Soup

Participants: Old Mother Helena in Fado tavern

Steps

Old Mother Helena tells you the ingredients of a special soup
You collect the ingredients "carrot", "spinach", "<item "courgette" not found>", "collard", "<item "salad" not found>", "onion", "cauliflower", "broccoli", "leek"
You bring the ingredients to the tavern (one by one or in a bunch)
The soup is served at table and you get xp and/or Karma
You can take it with you if you like

Reward: 20 XP; Karma bonus of 5 (only if you gave them one by one); Soup with HP value of your current base HP

Note: Can be repeated once every 10 minutes

The Ring Maker

Participants: Ognir, the ringmaker of Fado

Steps

If your emerald ring is broken, you can let it fix by Ognir
Bring him 80000 money, one emerald and 2 gold bars
Wait for 10 minutes and you will get the fixed ring back

Reward: A working emerald ring; 500 XP

Water for Xhiphin Zohos

Participants: Xhiphin Zohos; Stefan

Steps

Ask Xhiphin Zohos for a quest
Get some fresh water by a water spring and fill it up in a flask
Xhiphin Zohos wants to assure that the water is clean so he wants it to be checked by Stefan in Fado hotel
Show the water to Stefan and he will check it
Return the water to Xhiphin Zohos who will enjoy it then

Reward: 3 potion; 100 XP; some karma

Note: Quest is repeatable 7200 minutes/5 days

Stuff For Baldemar

Participants: Baldemar, mithrilbourgh elite wizard in the magic theater

Steps

Baldemar offers to forge a mithril shield for you if you bring him: 20 mithril bar, 1 obsidian, 1 diamond, 5 emerald, 10 carbuncle, 10 sapphire, 1 black shield, 1 magic plate shield, 10 gold bar, 20 <item "iron" not found>, 10 black pearl, 20 shuriken, 15 marbles and 1 snowglobe
After you have brought the list of items in order, Baldemar checks if you have ever killed a black giant alone, or not.
Baldemar forges the shield for you

Reward: Mithril Shield; 95000 XP; some karma

Participants: Ivan Abe, the wannabe king who lives in Sedah; Kendra Mattori, priestess living in Magic City

Steps

Ivan Abe wants you to bring him gems and gold for his crown which he believes will help him to become the new king
The needed items are: 1 obsidian, 2 diamond, 4 emerald, 2 carbuncle, 3 sapphire and 2 gold bar. Take these to Ivan Abe.
Ivan Abe tells you to go to Kendra Mattori, who gives the reward

Reward: 10,000 XP; ATK XP is increased by 0.1% of your XP.

Steps

The princess asks you for a rare flower, the rhosyd
Find the wandering flower seller
You are given the flower, provided you've already been asked to fetch it
Take flower back to princess
Princess gives you a reward

Reward: 5000 XP; Some gold bars, random between 5,10,15,20,25,30.; Karma: 25

Note: Unlimited repetitions, provided you've activated the quest by asking the princess for a task again

Kill Dark Elves

Participants: Maerion, mayor of Nalwor

Steps

Maerion asks you fix his dark elf problem
You go kill all the elves in the part of the drow tunnel beyond the secret room
The boss creature is a mutant thing, an experiment by the dark elves
The thing drops an amulet which Maerion wants returned
Maerion checks your kills, takes the amulet and gives you a ring of life as reward

Reward: 10000 XP; emerald ring (also known as ring of life); Karma: 10

Take Gold for Grafindle

Participants: Grafindle, the elderly elf banker; Lorithien, the post elf

Steps

Grafindle asks you to fetch gold bars from Lorithien
Talk with Lorithien for the gold bars
Take them to Grafindle for banking

Reward: 200 XP; some karma; Nalwor Bank Key

Restock the Flower Shop

Participants: Seremela, the elf that maintains the flower shop

Steps

Seremela asks you to retrieve various flowers and water for the shop
Bring the flowers and water to her

Reward: 1000 XP; 5 nalwor city scroll

Mixture For Ortiv

Participants: Ortiv Milquetoast, a retired teacher; Erna who helps in Semos bakery

Steps

Ask Ortiv for a quest
Collect the items he needs for the quest: one flask, 2 arandula, ten red lionfish, one kokuda; 12 toadstool; two licorice, ten apple, 30 wine; two garlic and one pestle and mortar
Return to Ortiv and get your reward!

Reward: A bounded assassin dagger; 5000 XP + 25 Karma

Notes: You need to get pestle and mortar by Erna

Kirdneh Museum needs help!

("Weekly Item Quest")

Participants: Hazel, Museum Curator of Kirdneh

Steps

talk to Hazel to get a quest to fetch a rare item
go get the item
bring the item to Hazel

Reward: XP depending on Level (60% of xp between your level now and next level); between 100 and 600 money

Note: Can be repeated once a week; if you cannot bring it in 6 weeks she offers you the chance to fetch another instead

A Sad Scientist

Story:

Suntan Cream for Zara

Participants: Zara, a woman at the Athor beach; David or Pam, the lifeguards.

Steps

Zara asks you to bring her some suntan cream from the lifeguards.
Pam or David want to have some ingredients: minor potion, kokuda, arandula. After you brought it to them they mix a cream.
Zara sees your suntan cream and asks for it and then thanks you.

Reward: 1000 XP overall; some karma; The key for a house in Ados where a personal chest with new slots is inside

You have to ask Princess Esclara for a 'reason' why Lorenz is jailed
Once you told the reason to Lorenz, you have to bring him an egg
You have to inform Princess Ylflia that he is jailed
Once you told Lorenz greetings from Ylflia, you have to bring him a barbarian armor

Reward: 20 gold bars; 15 karma; 52,000 XP
