The web client is now our central interface and thanks to the versatility of JavaScript and web applications, not only is it playable in all major web browsers, it also serves as the core of our new Android client and future dedicated desktop clients. So the choice is yours of how you want to play, whether installed as a downloadable app or directly in your desktop or mobile browser.

Stendhal 1.46 - Getting with the Times

We're breaking the fourth wall in this release announcment and pulling back the curtain a tad to give you the details of a much updated and contemporary release. You won't find a lot of changes to the Stendhal world as we have been working to "get with the times". Instead you will be greeted with a modern and much improved client interface built for a variety of platforms such as web, mobile, and all your favorite desktop operating systems.
