Software to Use With Stendhal

  • AntiMicro
    • Because of its text-based player-npc interaction and mouse-click battle systems Stendhal isn't really designed to be played using a gamepad or joystick. However, I myself still enjoy using a gamepad for walking and exploring. AntiMicro is the best utility I have found for mapping keyboard input to a gampad or joystick.
    • Another great feature that can be useful in Stendhal is its ability to define macros. For example, a button can be set up to execute a command to say "Hi". Just add a key combination like the following: "H" + "I" + "Enter".
    • AntiMicro is cross-platform. I have tested it on these systems: Windows Vista and 7 (32/64 bit), Debian Linux 8, and FreeBSD 10.
