Support:Social Meeting 2011

Hello everyone :)

As though as the planning for the last summer social meeting 2010 were a bit stressful and just in time, I would like to suggest an earlier planning here to make sure that we find a place this time in which we can combine some sighseeing with fun and a bit more around of the place where we will stay at :D

This page here can be used for writing some ideas around a possible next meeting down :)

Location

Arrival possibility

Frankfurt

• Train (Huge train station in Frankfurt, smaller one in Wiesbaden)
• Airport Frankfurt
• Car - Autobahn

Freiburg

• Train (Huge train station in Freiburg)
• Airport Freiburg (need to check if Turku and London will be in there)
• Car - Autobahn

Time for the meeting

Dates

• Somewhere in March/April ?
  • Vanessa: I'm personally "free" from februrary up to the first march weekend and up from the 22nd of March to the first of april (which isn't that a long time distance :( shitty term papers!!!)
  • Simon: I have to check again when I can get some free days. But the general date in march/april ist fine :) (other dates may be also okay if I can get some free days then)

How long?

• 3-4 days like in Hilchenbach? (would be thursday-sunday)
  • Simon: Yes, four days is nice in my view :) The last meeting wasn't too short and also not too long ;)

A Place to stay

Kind of place

• Not many holiday appartments or holiday houses around --> Vanessa: Checked some of the main pages for such stuff, but just found the link below wich would take enough place for us all (there are around 10 people who will maybe join)

  • is that okay or more independence needed?

Price ideas

• Hilchenbach was about 96 euro / person excluded food which was around 40 euro
  • Price ok or too high?
    • Simon: The price was very nice in my view :)
  • What is the tolerance area?
    • Simon: Hmm, the maximum for everything would be 200 Euro for me, I'd say...

  • Maybe driving to Frankfurt one day and explore the city there (appr. 25 minutes away)
