This page shows quests that already exist in Stendhal.

Quests in Semos

Introduce New Players

Participants: Tad, the ill boy at the town hall; Ilisa, the healer in the temple; Margaret, the waitress at the tavern

Steps

Ask Tad for a task
Buy a flask from Margaret and return to Tad
Talk to Ilisa
Get a herb called arandula (plains north of semos)
Bring ingredients to Ilisa
Tell Tad to get the medicine

Reward: 270 XP; 10 Money

The Rat Infestation

Participants: Eonna, the woman who lives in the house north of the temple

Steps

Ask Eonna for a task
Kill all monsters in the cellar of her house. Mind the snakes
Talk to Eonna

Reward: 100 XP; Some karma

A Thirsty Hero

Participants: Hayunn Naratha, the hero at semos guard house; Margaret, the waitress at the tavern

Daily Monster Quest

Participants: Mayor Sakhs

Steps

talk to Mayor to get a quest to kill a named creature
go kill the creature
tell Mayor that you are done

Reward: Level depending XP (20% of xp between your level now and next level)

Note: Can be repeated once a day; If after 7 days you haven't killed the creature you have the option to start another quest

Sheep Growing

Participants: Nishiya, the sheep seller in Semos Village; Sato, the sheep buyer in Semos City

Steps

Buy a sheep from Nishiya
Grow the sheep in the plains till he weighs 100
Sell sheep to Sato

Reward: 150 Money

Note: Can be repeated.

Help Ceryl find an old book

Participants: Ceryl, the most famous librarian in Semos; Jynath, the witch that lives besides the imperial path near Orril Castle

Steps

Ask Ceryl for a quest
Talk to Jynath
Take book to Ceryl

Reward: 100 XP; 50 Money

Hungry Joshua

Participants: Xoderos, the blacksmith in Semos; Joshua, his brother in Ados

Steps

Talk with Xoderos to activate the quest.
Make 5 sandwiches
Talk with Joshua to give him the sandwiches.
Return to Xoderos with a message from Joshua.

Reward: 200 XP in total; Keyring is 'fixed'

Pizza Delivery

Participants: Leander (the baker in Semos); NPCs all over the world (as customers)

Steps

Leander gives you a pizza and tells you who ordered it, and how much time you have to deliver.
As a gimmick, you get a pizza delivery uniform.
You walk to the customer and say "pizza".
The customer takes the pizza. If you were fast enough, you get a tip.
You put on your original clothes automatically.

Reward: XP (Amount varies depending on customer. You only get half of the XP if the pizza has become cold.); Money (As a tip, if you were fast enough; amount varies depending on customer)

Note: Can be repeated as much as wanted, but you can't get a new task while you still have the chance to do the current delivery on time.

Plinks Toy

Participants: Plink, a little boy living at Semos Plains North

Steps

Plink tells you he dropped his teddy when wolves in the park attacked him
Get the teddy from the park in semos plains north
Return teddy to Plink

Reward: A smile; 20 XP; 10 Karma

Quests in Semos Dungeon

Orcish Happy Meal

Participants: Nishiya, the sheep seller at Semos Village; Tor'Koom, the orc sheep buyer in the dungeon under Semos City

Steps

Grow the sheep in the plains
Herd the sheep through the dungeon
Sell sheep to Tor'Koom

Quests in Semos Catacombs

Vampire Quest

Participants: Hogart, a master dwarf smith; Markovich, a sick vampire

Background: Lady Tembells' lover was so upset when she died that he called on a master of black magic to resurrect her. The stranger he summoned was actually an evil vampire Lord, who resurrects all the Lady's maids as vampiresses.

A master dwarf smith, Hogart, in the dwarf mines can forge a Vampire Sword from his remains, if you take the dwarf smith iron, blood, and proof that the Lord is dead.

Steps

Get Vampire Sword quest from master dwarf smith who lives below the dwarf mine, down the stairs in the green dragon's cave. Start the quest and he gives you an empty goblet.
Go to semos north plains, enter Catacombs with empty goblet and kill all vampirettes. Collect vampirette entrails (guts) from each corpse till you have 7.
Kill the Vampire Lord and take proof from his corpse (His skull ring)
Take empty goblet and 7 vampirette entrails and 7 bat entrails to Markovich who extracts and mixes the blood.
Take the full goblet and 10 iron to the master dwarf smith, who can now forge the Vampire Sword for you.

Reward: 5000 XP overall; Vampire Sword

Notes: Damaging spikes hurt you as you walk through -2 level; Portal systems in -2 level with some one way portals and some teleport buttons

Daily Item Quest

Steps

talk to Mayor to get a quest to fetch a named item
go get the item
bring the item to the Mayor

The Freezing Man

Participants: Bario, the freezing man in the lower level of the dungeon NW outside Ados

Participants: Balduin, the hermit at Ados rock

Mithril Cloak

Participants: Ida, a seamstress in Ados.; Imperial scientists, in kalavan basement; Mithrilbourgh wizards, in kirdneh and magic city; Hogart, a retired master dwarf smith, forgotten below the dwarf mines in Orril.; Terry, the dragon hatcher in semos caves.; Ritati Dragontracker, odds and ends buyer in ados abandoned keep; Pdiddi, the dodgy dealer from Semos; Josephine, young woman from Fado; Pedinghaus, the mithril casting wizard in Ados

Steps

Ida needs sewing machine fixed, with one of three items from a list
Once machine fixed and if you have done mithril shield quest, Ida offers you cloak
Kampusch tells you to how to make the fabric
Imperial scientists take silk glands and make silk thread
Kampusch fuses mithril nuggets into the silk thread
Whiggins weaves mithril thread into mithril fabric
Ida takes fabric then asks for magical scissors
Hogart makes the scissors which need magical eggshells
Terry swaps eggshells for disease poison
Ida takes the scissors then asks for a magical needle
Needles come from Ritati Dragontracker
Ida breaks a random number of needles, meaning you need to get more each time
Ida pricks her finger on the last needle and goes to twilight zone
Pdiddi sells the twilight moss to get to twilight zone
The twilight slime in the twilight zone drops the twilight elixir to heal lda
After being ill Ida asks you to take a blue striped cloak to Josephine
After taking cloak to Josephine and telling Ida it is done, she asks for a mithril clasp
Pedinghaus makes mithril clasp
The clasp completes the cloak

Reward: Mithril Cloak; XP; Karma

Find Ghosts

Participants: Carena, the ghost haunting ados haunted house

Steps

Carena asks you to find the 4 other spirits on Fauimoni
You go find them and remember their names
You return and say the names
Carena checks you have met them, then gives reward

Reward: base HP bonus of 50; 5000 XP; Karma: 15

Notes: You can meet the ghosts before you started the quest with her

Quests in Kotoch

The immortal sword forging

Participants: Vulcanus, son of Zeus himself, will forge for you the god's sword.

Steps

Vulcanus tells you about the sword.
He offers to forge a immortal sword for you if you bring him what it needs.
You give him all what he ask you.
Vulcanus forges the immortal sword for you

Reward: 15000 XP; immortal sword

The Club Of Thorns

Participants: Orc Saman

Steps

The Orc Saman asks you to kill the Mountain Orc Chief in Kotoch Prison (he cannot kill one of his own, but he wants him dead)
Kill the Mountain Orc Chief and return to the Orc Saman

Reward: 1000 XP; Club of thorns; 16 karma

Quests in Fado

Cloak Collector

Participants: Josephine, a young woman who lives in Fado

Steps

Josephine asks you to bring her a cloak in every colour she likes
You bring cloaks to Josephine
Repeat until Josephine received all cloaks. (Of course you can bring several cloaks at the same time.)
Josephine gives you a reward

Reward: 2500 XP; a cloak Josephine doesn't like the colour of

Cloak Collector 2

Participants: Josephine, a young woman who lives in Fado

Steps

Josephine asks you to bring her a cloak in every colour she likes that she didn't get already
You bring cloaks to Josephine
Repeat until Josephine received all cloaks. (Of course you can bring several cloaks at the same time.)
Josephine gives you a reward

Reward: 100000 XP; Killer boots; Karma

Soup

Participants: Old Mother Helena in Fado tavern

Steps

Old Mother Helena tells you the ingredients of a special soup
You collect the ingredients "carrot", "spinach", "<item "courgette" not found>", "collard", "<item "salad" not found>", "onion", "cauliflower", "broccoli", "leek"
You bring the ingredients to the tavern (one by one or in a bunch)
The soup is served at table and you get xp and/or Karma
You can take it with you if you like

Reward: 20 XP; Karma bonus of 5 (only if you gave them one by one); Soup with HP value of your current base HP

Note: Can be repeated one every 10 minutes

Marriage

Participants: Sister Benedicta, the nun of Fado Church; Ognir, the Ring Maker in Fado; Timothy and Tamara at the dressing rooms; the Priest of Fado Church; Linda, Fado hotel receptionist; the happy couple

Steps

The nun explains that when two people are married, they can be together whenever they want
When two players wish to become engaged, they tell the nun (both must stand together and near the nun)
If the groom likes he can buy a diamond engagement ring for his fiancee (not needed at all for quest though)
The nun gives them invitation scrolls for the wedding, marked with the church
The players get a wedding ring made to give the other at the wedding by going to Ognir
Ognir hints that they can get dressed into an outfit in the hotel
When an engaged player goes to the priest, he knows they are there to be married and checks they have the rings
The marriage rites are performed
The rings and engraved with the partner's name
When they go to the Hotel they choose a lovers room from a catalogue
They leave the lovers room when desired with another marked scroll

Reward: 1500 XP in total; Wedding Ring that teleports you to your spouse if worn; Nice things in the lovers rooms

Learn About Karma

Participants: Sarzina, the friendly wizardess who also sells potions in Fado

Steps

Sarzina asks if you are a helpful person
You get good or bad karma depending on what you say
You get the chance to learn about karma and find out what yours is

Reward: Karma Bonus; Knowledge

Note: Can always go back to learn about karma, but not get the bonus each time

Take Gold to Grafindle

Participants: Grafindle, the elderly elf banker; Lorithien, the post elf

Steps

Grafindle asks you to fetch gold bars from Lorithien
Talk with Lorithien for the gold bars
Take them to Grafindle for banking

Reward: 200 XP; Nalwor Bank Key

Kill Dark Elves

Participants: Maerion, mayor of Nalwor

Steps

Maerion asks you fix his dark elf problem
You go kill all the elves in the part of the drow tunnel beyond the secret room
The boss creature is a mutant thing, an experiment by the dark elves
The thing drops an amulet which Maerion wants returned
Maerion checks your kills, takes the amulet and gives you a ring of life as reward

Reward: 10000 XP; emerald ring (also known as ring of life); Karma: 10

Elf Princess

Participants: Tywysoga, the Elf Princess in Nalwor Tower; Rose Leigh, the wandering flower seller.

Steps

The princess asks you for a rare flower, the rhosyd
Find the wandering flower seller
You are given the flower, provided you've already been asked to fetch it
Take flower back to princess
Princess gives you a reward

Reward: 5000 XP; Some gold bars, random between 5,10,15,20,25,30.; Karma: 15

Note: Unlimited repetitions, provided you've activated the quest by asking the princess for a task again

Quests in Kirdneh

Weekly Item Quest

Participants: Hazel, Museum Curator of Kirdneh

Steps

talk to Hazel to get a quest to fetch a rare item
go get the item
bring the item to Hazel

Reward: XP depending on Level (60% of xp between your level now and next level); between 100 and 600 money

Note: Can be repeated once a week; if you cannot bring it in 6 weeks she offers you the chance to fetch another instead

Quests in Kalavan

Imperial Princess

Participants: The princess and King in Kalavan Castle

Steps

Princess asks you to fetch a number of herbs and potions (depends on your level)
You bring them to her
She recommends you to her father, King Cozart
You speak with the King

Reward: XP depending on level; Ability to buy houses in Kalavan City

Icecream for Annie

Participants: Annie, a little girl playing in Kalavan City Gardens; Annie's mum Mrs Jones

Steps

Annie asks you for an icecream
You buy icecream from Sam who is nearby
Annie can't take it as her mum thinks you are a stranger
Speak to Mrs Jones, Annie's mum
Now give the icecream to Annie

Reward: 500 XP; A present; 20 Karma

Note: Repeatable every 30 minutes but you must speak to Mrs Jones for approval every time.

Quests in the Magic City

Kill Spiders

Participants: Morgrin, upstairs in the magic school

Steps

Groundskeeper Morgrin ask you to clean up the school basement
You go kill the spiders in the basement and you get the reward from Morgrin

Reward: mythical egg; 5000 XP; Karma: 10

Note: Repeatable every 7 days

Stuff For Baldemar

Participants: Baldemar, mithrilbourgh elite wizard in the magic theater

Steps

Baldemar offers to forge a mithril shield for you if you bring him: 20 mithril bar, 1 obsidian, 1 diamond, 5 emerald, 10 carbuncle, 10 sapphire, 1 black shield, 1 magic plate shield, 10 gold bar, 20 <item "iron" not found>, 10 black pearl, 20 shuriken, 15 marbles and 1 snowglobe
After you have brought the list of items in order, Baldemar checks if you have ever killed a black giant alone, or not
Baldemar forges the shield for you

Reward: Mithril Shield; 95000 XP

Quests in Sedah

Crown For The Wannabe King

Participants: Ivan Abe, the wannabe king who lives in Sedah; Kendra Mattori, priestess living in Magic City

Steps

Ivan Abe wants you to bring him gems and gold for his crown which he believes will help him to become the new king
The needed items are: 1 obsidian, 2 diamond, 4 emerald, 2 carbuncle, 3 sapphire and 2 gold bar. Take these to Ivan Abe.
Ivan Abe tells you to go to Kendra Mattori, who gives the reward

Reward: 10,000 XP; ATK XP is increased by 0.1% of your XP.

Quests on Athor Island

Suntan Cream for Zara

Participants: Zara, a woman at the Athor beach; David or Pam, the lifeguards.

Steps

Zara asks you to bring her some suntan cream from the lifeguards.
Pam or David want to have some ingredients: minor potion, kokuda, arandula. After you brought it to them they mix a cream.
Zara sees your suntan cream and asks for it and then thanks you.

Reward: 1000 XP overall; The key for a house in Ados where a personal chest with new slots is inside

Quests on Amazon Island

Amazon Princess

Participants: Princess Esclara, the Amazon Princess in a Hut on Amazon Island

Steps

The princess asks you for an exotic drink
Find someone who serves exotic drinks like a pina colada
Take exotic drink back to princess

Reward: 25 Karma; Some fish pies, between 2 and 7

Note: You can repeat it once per hour

Jailed Barbarian

Participants: Lorenz, the jailed barbarian in a hut on Amazon Island; Esclara the Amazon Princess; Ylflia the Princess of Kalavan

Steps

Lorenz ask you for a scythe to bring him
You have to ask Princess Esclara for a 'reason' why Lorenz is jailed
Once you told the reason to Lorenz, you have to bring him an egg
You have to inform Princess Ylflia that he is jailed
Once you told Lorenz greetings from Ylflia, you have to bring him a barbarian armor

Reward: 20 gold bars; 15 karma; 52,000 XP

Steps

Mr. Yeti asks for some snow, and wants you to get 25 <item "snowballs" not found>.
You collect 25 snowballs from ice golems.
You give the snowballs to Mr. Yeti.

Reward: 20 cod or perch; 500 XP; Karma: 20

Note: 12 hours of waiting is required between repetitions

Elvish Armor

Participants: Lupos, an albino elf who lives in Fado Forest

Steps

Lupos wants to see every piece of elvish equipment you can bring him

Reward: 20000 XP; Karma:25; ability to sell elvish stuff and also drow sword

Help Tomi

Participants: tomi, a captive in hell

Steps

tomi asks cryptic messages about ice
if you have an ice sword you get rewarded (and he takes the sword)

Reward: XP (see below); amusement

Notes: yes tomi takes as many ice as you please; bigger reward each time - with a square law on the XP
