We're breaking the fourth wall in this release announcment and pulling back the curtain a tad to give you the details of a much updated and contemporary release. You won't find a lot of changes to the Stendhal world as we have been working to "get with the times". Instead you will be greeted with a modern and much improved client interface built for a variety of platforms such as web
Much effort has been put in to adding touch input support to expand gameplay to mobile devices. The client now has a configurable on-screen joystick or direction pad to handle character movement while continuing to support pathfinding using clicks or touches to the ground. Object drag-and-drop was another important focus. In previous releases it was only possible using mouse input but now has been expanded to support touch enabled devices.
