I'm not sure about those legal things so correct me if I'm wrong. I think the gpl is not applicabe to graphics and they should be licenced with the GNU FDL as shown on the bottom of this page.
:GFDL is more appropriate than GPL for images. Other licenses of note include the [http://artlibre.org/licence/lal/en/ Free Art License], any of several listed on [http://creativecommons.org/about/licenses/ Creative Commons], and of course good ol' public domain. --[[User:GreyKnight|GreyKnight]] 10:25, 16 September 2006 (PDT)
