There are several things that make Arianne different from commercial engines and other open source engines.

These are:

Arianne is all open source: No hidden parts
There are several good examples of how to create new games
There are only two relevant applications: Marauroa and Stendhal
It is easy to install and configure
We really love the project!
It is all free!
We care about your problems with Arianne and provide as much support as possible
