: I like that idea! Although the implementation might be difficult. I'd suggest not to add a list of different places or another minimap, but to add moving points for creatures in the existing minimap at that current place the player is located (for 1 minute). So he can see if there are any creatures around that he can not yet see (but might be dangerous ^^).
