Most of ideas here is Bill G.'s way( :-P ). I take them from other MMORPs in a way I think it's appropriate for Stendhal
Other ideas is very original or altered in a new way and some are 'crasy' or dareful ideas

Party
You can create a party and invite in your party your friends. Players as long as they belong in this party(party leader can kick out someone or when party leader quits, party is over)they can chat each other and only party members can read or talk there.
But you should also choose good party like this: have in your party a mage or Necromancer(dark priest), a thief, a kind of warrior, and a priest or bard. A kind of archer class can be usefull too. Warrior protects mages and priest by doing body-body combat while mage prepares his nasty spells and curses and priest does the healing. Party shares the XP and anyone can take the drops or even share them automatically. This is a good way to train your low level friends or guild members. Some details: priest is veryvery usefull when battling party goes fight undeads. Holy priest is extremely effective against unholy creatures like the undeads. Necromancer maybe can do bad in the morale of party because of the evil dark unholy magic he uses and with the army of undeads he can create from dead creatures or invite some undeads to fight on party side. This can conflict with the holy priest and both(necromancer and priest)have less effective spells. So better -depents from the mission- choose only one from them to have in the party.

Danters points of party
Just a pointer id like to add for the party idea is this: "party leader can kick out someone or when party leader quits, party is over" it's good that the party leader can kick out players (sometimes annoying players or "ninja players" = players that steals all the good loot joins) but when the party leader leaves the party should not be over but another leader should be randomly choosend (or the oldest teammember exept the leader becomes leader instead) thus they can continue the party instead. Party leader status should also be able to be transferred to another player if the party leader wishes it.

A few commands that would be nice for party managment is:
/invite plasyer - anyone that is not in a party can use this command on all players that is not in another party, using this command creates a new party (if the player beeing invited accepts the invite) and the one issuing the /invite command becomes the leader.
/leave - if the player is in a party he leaves it, making him awailable for new invites.
/leadertransfer player - makes another player the party leader, the player must already be in the party for it to work.

Upgrading Weapons
All those gems you get from the dragon are untill one quest useless. So why don't use them for upgrading your weapons??
:You can sell them to Ognir, but yes I like the upgrading idea too. My brother plays WoW and they can decorate their weapons there. We'd need images of every weapon with each possible jewel on it, though. That's what's putting me off at the moment. Other quests are planned that can use them, too. Kymara
Well, not every weapon. We could do so that only a subset of weapons is upgradable, at least in the beginning (this selection must also come from logic, for example it makes no sense to decorate an obsidian knife with obsidian, or even with any other gem; or, very unchiselled weapons like a club or a ugmash maybe arent a good fit for being gem-enanched); then, for each one of these selected weapons, we could draw the decorated version or just tweak the original pic by adding a glow or aura (green, blue, red) if it's easier and/or produces a better result. I think i will try to make some gfx for it and see what comes out. --Vesper 07:03, 14 October 2007 (PDT)

Alchemy and Crafting
For those of you who remember your days of playing runescape, this concept may come easy to you.
*Overview of Alchemy
The idea behind alchemy is simple. It is the creation of a new item from existing items. The common belief is that alchemy is limited to foraging for herbs and plants to make healing potions. Whereas alchemy can be used for much more.
*Example of alchemy 1
While scouting a new area, you come across a tree with moss growing on the side of it. Carefully you take a chunk of moss and place it in your backpack, then continuing along your path. After so long, it's now night time but the strive for adventure still burns in your soul! So you light a torch and continue on your way. A vicious group of goblins approaches you though and you're at a disadvantage at the size of their group. You hit the nearest goblin with your torch and light his clothing on fire in the process. With your great knowledge of alchemy, you take out the moss you gathered earlier and hurl it at the flame on the goblin which erupts violently, causing the goblin to take a massive amount of damage and the explosion catches another goblin on fire. This is called reaction alchemy. While not necessary creating a new item, it involves creating a reaction from different products. In this case, the different products were (fire) and (moss).
*Example of alchemy 2
After killing a caverat, you notice their teeth are quite acrid. They smell horribly of sewers. You inspect the corpse and remove their teeth. Taking out a bowl you crush them into a powder, adding water and a bit of poison ivy to the mixture you carefully pour the contents into a thin glass bottle. You successfully create a Bottle of Poisons. This can be thrown at an enemy only within melee range and doing so causes the enemy to become poisoned and deals 1*(player's atk) damage. This is called productive alchemy. You combine multiple components to produce a new component. In this case, the components were (water) (rat's teeth) and (poison ivy leaf). The result of this example was an offensive potion which causes damage. Other products can include:
#(Healing substances such as: a Healing Balm in which it grants a median healing effect between Food and Healing potions. i.e. Instead of a 1 HP per tick over 20 ticks from consuming Cheese or an immediate 50 HP from consuming a Small potion, the player can create a (insert name of new healing item) with nearby components from the world and heal himself for 10 HP per tick over 3 ticks)
#(Stimulating potions such as: a potion to increase Atk temporarily(used on an enemy or on the player)) -in real life, medicine has side effects. Be it drowsiness, fatigue, or vomiting. In game, potions like these will also have a side effect, giving them a useful purpose to apply them to enemies.
#(Degrading potions such as: a potion to decrease Atk temporarily(used on an enemy or on the player)) -in real life, medicine has side effects. Be it drowsiness, fatigue, or vomiting. In game, potions like these will also have a side effect, giving them a useful purpose to apply them to enemies.
#(Area of Effect potions such as: a potion that produces a smog around a certain area that decreases the chance to hit the player if thrown at an enemy)
#(Weapon enhancements such as: a poison that is applied to the tip of your blade, giving a chance to poison your opponent per swing)
#(Temporary adverse effects such as: a potion that places an enemy into a sleep state, allowing you to attack it freely or escape from it. Attacking causes a 25% chance to wake the monster from their sleep)
#(Additive components such as: an additive that is combined with a healing balm that has been already made. The new healing balm lasts longer. (For example; (insert name of new healing item as previously mentioned) will now heal 10 HP per tick over 4 ticks). Additive components will be raw and will not be acquired through combining components. They will be commonly found through foraging plants yet in adverse areas, causing you to travel awkward lengths to get to them for their added effects.)
*Overview of Crafting
This topic is wide and up for discussion, something I'll have to provide ideas for at a later time. --Val 06:11, 21 October 2007 (EST)

Put your name below and add your thoughts about your ideas. This is mostly a list which will be organised and splitted in tools

Marketplace
I got an idea to make a marketplace on an island, make on the main continent cheap teleports to it, and free teleports from it to semos. There would be many stalls to rent by paying some money to boss of marketplace (npc). Then you got a key to your stall. There will be many stalls with a different size, and they would be numbered. In every stall there'll be a NPC and a chest (size depending on the size of the stall) in which you can put items to sell and a blackboard on which you can write what are you selling and prices.
The NPC should have a script, which will allow him to identify items in the chest and get prizes from the owner of the stall. Money got from sale should be put in the chest.
Chest will have a script which allows it to sum up the same items on 1 slot in a chest (for example 2 shadow armors in 1 slot).
Blackboard may be useless if NPCs will be capable of answering questions like "how much is shadow armor?"

 1. We can type here all ideas all together and any developer who likes one or some he can pick(or better I)it up from here and he can ask me to post it on SF feature requests or wiki.
 2. We can put our thoughts here free with no conditions. Imagination needs to be free, not very controlled and limited with logic.
 3. A single idea here can demand a set of features, some brand new. So developers can take an idea and split it.
 4. Mostly this here is for having it as a place with our thoughts to not lost or forget them. It should be organised later as I said above
