This page shows games that are available to play in the world of Stendhal. They can be single- or multi-player.
__TOC__

Games differ from quests in that they are generally played more for entertainment purposes rather than to significantly progress a character. Those that do influence character progress or stature may be reflected in the travel log, but for the most part are not.

: <npc>Ricardo</npc>, he runs the gambling table

; Location

: Semos in the Inn at the table

; Stake

:
money|100 money

; Short introduction

: Nice prizes wait for you in the Semos Tavern when you visit <npc>Ricardo</npc> there. He is the only person in Semos who is licensed to offer gambling activities. That is why you can of course trust him while playing on his table. If you are a gambler and curious about how lucky you can be, try that little game out and you will maybe win lots of useful items.

; Rules

: The rules are simple: just tell <npc>Ricardo</npc> "play" when you want to try your luck, pay the stake (costs see above), and throw the dices on the table. The higher the sum of the upper faces is, the nicer will your prize be. If you want to relax while hanging around with some friends for example, that
dice|game
will be the right place for you.

Blackjack
; Participants

: <npc>Ramon</npc>, on Athor ferry

; Location

: Athor Ferry, first floor

; Stake

: Between
money|10 money
and
money|200 money

; Short introduction

: Travelling back and forth on the ferry, <npc>Ramon</npc> waits for customers for his gambling market. He was a
cards|card dealer
in Semos tavern, but he lost his gambling license and went onto the ferry to Athor for starting new gambling activities there. His brother <npc>Ricardo</npc> still works in the tavern. What is the game about which he offers to young heroes on their way to Athor?
: Blackjack or 21 as it is called in some regions, is a typical casino cards game. It is by far the most popular table game offered in gambling establishments.

; Rules

: The rules are quite simple:

: You play against the bank. The goal is to have a higher number of points than the bank, but not more than 21.

: Jacks, queens, and kings are worth 10 points. Aces are worth 11 points, but only 1 point if your hand would exceed 21 points otherwise. All other cards are worth their number.

; Prizes

: Here you can find a prize table of the Athor Ferry gambling game:

Wishing well
; Participants
: There are neither other players nor other NPCs involved, just the
lucky charm|fortune
of the challengers

; Location
: Wishing wells are positioned all over the huge world of Faiumoni. Look out for the coloured sparkles on stone wells.

; Stake
:
money|30 money
per wish

; Short introduction

: Quoted from wikipedia.org:

A wishing well is a term from European folklore to describe wells where it was thought that any spoken wish would be granted. The idea that a wish would be granted came from the idea that water housed deities or had been placed there as a gift from the gods, since water was a source of life and often a scarce commodity. (...)

: As you can read here, the story of wishing wells goes back to a time in which mystical legends and strong belief in magical things took place. The habit of throwing money into wells is still popular in our times. That is why some people think about some wishes before throwing some
money
into the water. Although you can not speak your wishes out to the well here, you can be very lucky and find some nice items which you can use later on your huntings and adventures.

; Rules

: The only rule you have to follow is: stay patient while doing a wish in front of a well... It needs some seconds to find out, if you were lucky and found something useful or if you weren't successful this time. And here is a little hint for you: As though it is a game about fortune, you will have better chances for gaining some items from the well when you own a positive karma or a
lucky charm
or at least both...

; Prizes

: There are lots of items which you can find while doing wishes to the well. Possible items which you can get are:

:
money

:
potion

:
antidote

:
greater potion

:
wood

:
present

:
cherry

:
sandwich

:
horned golden helmet

:
dark dagger

Special games: Semos Mine Town Revival Weeks
Tic Tac Toe
; Participants

: Paul Sheriff

; Location

: The Tic Tac Toe game is currently not online but Paul Sheriff may bring it up again during the Semos Mine Town Revival Weeks.

; Stake

: No stake

; Short introduction

: The Tic Tac Toe game took place during the Semos Mine Town Revival Weeks in the north of Semos, close to the entrance of Semos Mines which Paul Sheriff, the tic tac toe gambling master, brought up after came into town last year during the Revival weeks.

: In case you don't know the story, in 2006 <npc>Susi</npc> was captured on her way back from the Semos Mine Town revival party. She was missing for two years and there was no party during that time - all of Ados searched for her. In 2008, she was found aboard a pirate ship by players who had been defending Ados from a pirate attack. Now all heroes are
wine|celebrating
that day each year.

; Rules

: The goal of Tic Tac Toe is to be the first player to get three in a row on a 3x3 grid. The competitors have to move tokens in the form of a X and of an O.

: X always goes first.

: Players alternate placing Xs and Os on the board until either one player has three in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) or all nine squares are filled.

: If a player is able to draw three Xs or three Os in a row, that player wins.

: If all nine squares are filled and neither player has three in a row, the game is a draw.

; Prizes

: There are no prizes for that game,it is just there for fun :)

Nine Switches
; Participants

: Maltos

; Location

: The nine switches game was online during the Semos Mine Town Revival Weeks and guided by Maltos infront of the Semos Mines entrance

; Stake

: No stake

; Short introduction

: The nine switches game took place during the Semos Mine Town Revival Weeks in the north of Semos, close to the entrance of Semos Mines. Maltos, the nine switches gamemaster, showed up during the Revival weeks in 2010 and positioned his game for players on the ground.

Now all heroes are
wine|celebrating
that day each year.

; Rules

: The nine switches games can be played by only one player.

: You have to talk with Maltos first, he will give you a short introduction into the game.

: You have one minute time to solve the little puzzle. The goal is it to bring all of the arrows to the right side.

: Rightclick and "use" the arrows to move them. Take care: You don't move only one arrow while using it, the ones around of this arrow will turn as well!

: If you solve the riddle during a minute, Maltos will give you a really sweet reward.
